Description
An alternative to the SIP FastFlow fuel tap is represented by the item produced by OMG. OMG are a petrol tap manufacturer from Italy that produces a fast-flow fuel tap that has recently been renamed.
Compared to normal fuel taps the OMG Fast Flow fuel tap allows up to three times more fuel to be delivered to the carburettor. This increased flow ensures an adequate supply of fuel when the engine is running at high revs, whether on the race track or motorway.
This fuel tap is available with both a manual ‘reserve’ position and an electronic ‘reserve’ indicator. The electronic method requires an additional external ‘reserve’ indicator light, such as the type included with the SIP product. The electric wiring loom adapter included with the SIP 2.0 speedometers for Lambretta are fully compatible with the OMG items, by using on Vespa models it is necessary to order wiring loom SIP part no. 50000260. This fuel tap is available for both Vespa and Lambretta scooters and does not include a fuel tap lever switch.
SIP-TIP : Do not forget to order a fuel tap mounting and removal tool, fuel hosing and a fuel tap lever switch!
Mounting information for models factory-equipped with a fuel gauge indicator: For models with an original fuel gauge indicator which are intended to be fitted with a fast flow fuel tap, a new fuel tap including an electric reserve indicator will not be necessary. It is sufficient to make use of the SIP fast flow fuel tap (#15878100). The signal required for this function is then transmitted using the existing wiring loom of the scooter.
