TUNING SPORT – high-performance

Your scooter does not sound “racy” enough? The POLINI racing exhaust system does not only “pump up the volume” of your motors sound, but also increases the performance of both original and tuned motor setups.

This right-hand exit (under the gearbox) exhaust system scores points with a relatively wide power delivery and a seemingly effortless bridging of the gap between third and fourth gears. This exhaust shows its real potential at the higher end of your motors rev range, powering through to maximum revs, enabling a higher top-speed. Due to the extremely good value-for-money ratio you receive an effective tuning exhaust system for relatively little money.

Conclusion: The sound and look of this tuning exhaust system is pure thoroughbred Italian. Atypically Italian although is the noticeably stronger torque curve produced by this system. The inconspicuous silencer is tucked neatly away underneath the gearbox.

Due to the right-hand exit design this exhaust pipe allows the use of larger tyre sizes, a spare wheel and also the main stand.

Carburettor jetting and ignition timing should be checked and/or altered.

 

SIP-TIP: A larger main jet and adjusted ignition timing are absolutely necessary for optimal and reliable use of this exhaust system. 139 and 177cc setups are ideally combined with a 24mm DELLORTO SI carburettor, a higher ratio primary drive kit and do not forget a lighter flywheel. 200 and 220cc setups also benefit from larger diameter carburettors, taller primary drives and lighter flywheels.
